A mooch along Brighton seafront earlier, so the first of what may be a short series on the Volks Railway.
I hung around waiting for this shot and then dropped the colour out with the bundled MS photo suite. The pain is the modern sign bottom left.

Google is/are as can be seen, again refusing to accept any 'portrait' angled photos - boo to them. Just tip your head to the right and all is well.
More here. But note that the photo dated 1904 appears to show a shorter door and yet the double stonework exists as in my shot. An example of the more you find out the less you actually know.

Right on cue my favourite piece of RHDR motive power appeared. The very enclosed Simplex is the widest item they have and of course contrary to first glance this is the side view.

Nothing remarkable here just the usual mix of MDF, Resin W and a few screws. I still get people telling me that MDF is too heavy... I can lift with my index finger only, so I think we can safely say that that is a bit of a myth.
